I had a client that would stay dry as long as she wore a diaper because she had suffered sexual abuse in underwear and the diaper made her feel safer.. I know odd, but it made her feel like there was that buffer... she also acted a lot lke a baby too...

Not to sound pessimistic, but please, please, please don't leave him unattended with the little one even for a second until he you know if he can handle it after all he has been through and seen. I think you should put the responsibility of the visits back on the department. It's nice that the new caseworker seems to be taking a stronger stance against your daugther, but you don't need the additional stress if a visit is cancelled or you need to end a visit because of her behavior. Has anyone gone through the selection process in Indiana? If the adoption worker for the child e-mails you with more questions after reading your homestudy is this a good sign? Thanks!!
